The Kannada film industry at last got its first ‘CM’ – Common Man as Crucial Mover of developments in the society. It is not man but woman. That is Ragini Dwivedi bashing and dashing in her role in ‘Naane Next CM’.

The film has completed shooting and the pride of KFI Premiere Studio owner Nagakumar son of founder Basavarajaiah is producer of this film.


Basavarajaiah started Premiere Studio in Mysuru in 1956 and was also producer. So far 750 films held shooting at this prestigious place says Nagakumar who is feeling proud for coming back to cinema production. It is a middle class thought but told in convincing style. In last August 20 we started. Some hiccups delayed this project. As a producer I am like a sandwich of old and new generation he says.  Balu old friend of Nagakumar is from the camp of SV Rajendra Singh Babu.

It is a 16 months project of ‘naane Next CM’ says Mahesh director of the film. I came to cinema industry as common man washing places for salary of Rs.2372. from that moment I have been thinking of such ordinary class of people reaching help. If you decide to have a house at Airport Road that should happen and how you have to watch this film.  There is possibility of each one claiming that he is next CM he says.


After Malashri I have seen so much of zeal in Ragini while doing action stated cameraman JG Krishna addressing the media.


This has been ‘Adbutha’ journey. A commercial and art doing is easy but doing a solo heroine role is a big risk taking; this has been longest journey too.  The research work of director was very helpful. This has no reference to Ramya or Jayalalitha case Ragini clarified the rumour mill. Ragini is also expecting some change via this film.  This is surely going to relate to common man confidently says Ragini Dwivedi.
